Help Ladies Football 4 Fun - Keep Our Community Growing!
⚽️ Back in July 2022, Ladies Football 4 Fun started with just 2 women (Helen & Melissa) who wanted to meet for a kickabout, this led to 40 female strangers all meeting on a Thursday evening.
We had a simple idea: to give women a relaxed, friendly and welcoming place to enjoy football, have fun, make friends and feel good about themselves — without the pressure of competitive leagues, the commitment of regular attendance or the fear of being judged.
We never imagined just how much it would grow!
Today, we’re an award-winning (Community Inspiration runners up), not-for-profit, volunteer-led organisation with 500 women on our booking system all enjoying our sessions throughout the West Midlands.
⚽️We’re incredibly proud of what we’ve built together. What started as a small weekly kickabout has become so much more than football. It’s a place where women have found friendship, laughter, confidence, connection and a sense of belonging.
For some women, it’s a chance to get active again. For others, it’s an opportunity to meet new people, improve their mental wellbeing, or simply take some time out from the pressures of everyday life.
And that’s what makes Ladies Football 4 Fun so special.
Why we need your help!
Although our community is growing, keeping everything running comes with real costs.
As a not-for-profit organisation run by volunteers, we rely on support to keep our sessions going and make sure women continue to have access to a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment.
Behind every kickabout are essential running costs, including:
⚽ Insurance to help us operate responsibly and safely.
⚽️ Website and booking system costs to help us manage our growing community and keep women connected.
⚽️ Football equipment so our sessions have the equipment needed for everyone to take part.
⚽️ First aid supplies and training to help us maintain a safe environment and ensure appropriate first aid provision.
These essentials may not always be visible but without them, we simply couldn’t keep doing what we do.
We want to keep growing, welcoming new women and creating opportunities for more people to experience the joy and benefits of football. But to do that, we need your help to keep our community going and secure its future.
